I too think this can happen. CBSL has no option but to float the LKR inorder to get the IMF money. CBSL is clearly manipulating the market so they can buy USD low and sell high when when rupee is floated to keep it stable

In my point of view Sri lanka rupee about to go high due to floating. What central bank doing is trying to lower it so once the USD floated it won't go as much as predicted before. So we can guess around 380 range again once floated

I know the country is not that stable. But compared to last year some form of relative stability is there. No one can deny that. What I am afraid of is going back or beyond the previous status and losing all the gold reserves due to unnecessary or foolish decisions.

Central Bank එකෙන් කලින් regulation එකක් දාලා තිබ්බා weekly banks වල එකතු වෙන foreign currency ගානෙන් 20% central bank එකට sell කරන්න ඕන කියලා. ඊට අමතරව තව coal fund එකට කියලා තව 10% ගත්තා. ඔය peecentage එක 20% ඉඳලා 15% වෙනකං අඩු කළා. Coal fund එකට එකතු කරන ගානත් නැවැත්තුවා. ඔය දේවල් නිසා banks වල excess funds ekathu උනා. Import demand ekakuth නැති නිසා banks කළේ ඒ funds market එකට dana එක. Supply එක wadi demand එක අඩු නිසා rates අඩු උනා. ඔය එක්කම ඩොලර් rate එක අඩු වෙද්දී hold කරගෙන හිටපු උන්ගේ panic selling එකත් මේකට contribute උනා.

Why don't you publish your “research finding”

I was using available data.
As the graph shows there is a significant loss of gold reserves.
How can you prove that it is not continuing to date? Do you have any proof?
If you have proof why don't you publish it?

This is an open discussion about whether this is related to the current trend or not.
To ask questions do I need to do research? If I know it why should I ask? What nonsense are you talking about?
Learn the difference between asking questions and publishing data/information before accusing. You can do research about that I guess.

Look mate, your questions and your thread topic betraying that you are biased toward making the reader's mindset to be skeptical about the recent LKR appreciation. You have all the rights to be suspicious about that, especially considering the recent issues.
But when you are skeptical about something, you may want to seek the truth. The truth seeking process should be transparent, unbiased
But, it seems that you are only seeking evidence to support your side of the story.. you have to look at the other-side as well.
Other-wise people might be misled.

I don't see any conclusion in my question, please read again. I have asked whether it is related or not. I don't know any other easy way to convey my question. If you think it is not related you could have simply replied with your opinion, isn't it?

Anyway, you have to accept there is a significant loss of gold reserves recently (according to the graph). Would you deny that?

First, you have accused me of publishing misleading information.
Then you said I have used old data. However, you were unable to produce more updated or reliable data up to now.
Thirdly you asked me to do research before posting. Unfortunately, you don't know the meaning of the word research. And I don't think there is any research about the current economy of Sri Lanka (if available you can enlighten us) and I can not perform research about it as I mentioned earlier in one of my reply I am not an expert on economics.
Now you are saying I am biased and I am seeking evidence to support my side. Frankly, my side is seeking the truth and I want to know whether the current trend is a scam or not. You can read my replies, I haven't forced anyone. I have thanked people for their replies, but I did not say anything against the replies. Obviously, I haven't replied to the unrelated replies and quarrels.
But up to now, you haven't contributed any information but false accusations against me.
Assuming you have knowledge about this field, what you should have done is share your knowledge here, so everyone can go through it. Depending on the reply to your post you could have decided whether I am biased or not.
Without sharing knowledge or contributing, assuming things about my intention and accusing me based on your assumptions are really disgusting.
