more information is needed.
if you have deposited some money under some terms of deposit (certificate) in non banking institution you need to file a cvil action seeking to recover money and specific performance.
depending on amount Mediation Board can also deal.
this is clearly a civil action police has no power to file such actions.(but practically police do get involved in this type of matters but legally it is wrong!) you can file a criminal action if the place you deposited took your money to cheat you. This cannot happen in GK , The Finance etc.
better to seek proper legal advice as you are reluctant to reveal more information. This can get more complex with more facts.
from given facts if the amount is not substantial at least more than Rs 200,000 it is not economical for litigation. Our courts are extremely slow on these matters and sometimes very unsympathetic too. Even a simple damages case takes more than 10 years to conclude! There can be appeals that take another 5 or more years too. Finally when you finish the case if your company is having liquidity problems (like SL) it may be bankrupt (eg Sakviti, Kalutota,ETI.....) and you wont get anything.
lesson to others; Never to invest in high interest (higher the interest higher the Risk, lower the risk lower the return!)
