I have tasted it in Norway... They have the dried whale meat too. Also ones like Beef jerky. I am against the killing of the Whales. But sadly both Japan & Norway are doing it.

I believe they are Dugongs. There are the Dugongs, Manatees and the sea-cows. Dugongs never leave the sea water. Manatees both sea and fresh. Sadly the sea-cow has been harvested to extinction.
