ලකුණු 25 කින් සාමාන්‍ය පෙළ විෂය සමාර්ථයන් තීරණය කළ යුතු බවට අධ්‍යාපන අමාත්‍ය බන්දුල ගුණවර්ධන ඉදිරිපත් කල යෝජනාව ඊයේ කිළිනොචිචියේ පැවති කැබිනට් මණ්ඩල රැස්විමේදි ප්‍රතික්ෂේප වු බව රජයේ ආරංචී මාර්ග කියයි.


මෙවැනි අඩු ලකුණු සාමාර්ථයක් හඳුන්වා දිම වෙනුවට දරුවනගේ දැනුම වර්ධනය කිරිමට පියවර ගත යුතු බවට ජනාධිපති මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ මහතා මෙහිදි පැවසු බවද එම ආරංචී මාර්ග කියයි.

දැනට අධ්‍යයන පොදු සහතික පත්‍ර සාමාන්‍ය පෙළ විෂය සමාර්ථයන් දක්වන A, B, C, S හා W යන වර්ගීකරණයට අමතරව ලකුණු 25 ත් 34 ත් ලකුණු ලබා ගන්නා දරුවන් වෙනුවෙන් ‘N’ නමි සාමාර්ථ ක්‍රමයක් හදුන්වා දි උසස් පෙළ සුදුසු කමි ලබන ප්‍රමානය සියයට 11 කින් ඉහළ දැමිම ඇමති බන්දුල ගුණවර්ධනගේ සැලසුම වි තිබුණි.

සිසුන් වැඩිපුර අසමත් වන ගණිතය විෂය සමත් කරවිම මෙම සාමාර්ථ ක්‍රමයේ මුළික අරමුණ විය.

by introducing this new grade Bandula must have been thinking, Ok if i bring this the pass rate would go up to about 80%.. so he can boast, look before i took over the ministry only 40% of the kids got through math, now look it's almost 80!. I'm the man!
but in reality the quality of the students remained just the same.

Bandula must be sacked of the ministry for attempting such a gimmick

But as far as I know in order to increase donation to the free education from various international parties we should be able reach the Maths pass percentage at least 55 so Bandula could be trying to reach that object anyhow

What president told is correct. We have to improve the quality of education in the country. Not give pass marks by reducing the cut off mark.
