If you want to critically analyse this ,here's my observations/opinions
-monitor shows VF. But as you said child seems to be conscious .So it
should be adjacent patient's monitor who is having a cardiac arrest .
And btw oxygen cylinders do not have plugs( anyway green colour cylinder can't be a oxygen cylinder.)

It means as you said beside patient is going to asystole. Coz monitor has batery power to certain extent. With VF his GCS couln't be 15.
