So if you are still ready for the above, remember that good dogs always are very high maintenance. That is for food and then when they get sick (they get sick regularly).

So if your kids really love dogs and if you want to teach them to love animals go and adopt a stray dog. That is much easier and you are doing a good thing. Remember that there is no issue adopting female dogs, just get them sterilized (don't give a shit about buddhist pin pau labbawal. Removing her reproductive parts are way better than dumping puppies on the road)

Finally remember that Dogs also have a life, they are not toys so treat them in the proper way.

This is good advice. Better to start from a SL hound. Kids loose interest pretty soon. When we were kids we did same things. I can remember when I was a kid I wanted a fish tank. But after some time it was a real pain to feed fish and clean the tank.
