I wasn’t delusional, nor did I expect a major shift in political culture, certainly not the one they’re currently forcing on others. All I wanted was for the two main parties to step aside for good after years of arrogance and incompetence. Economic growth was never achievable with constant government mismanagement. Making money is hard, but wasting it is far too easy. The previous governments were so corrupt that progress was always out of reach.

I trusted AKD to keep his JVP faction in check because Marxism and communism can’t compete effectively with right wing trade policies. I believed AKD would govern from the NPP front, but now it’s becoming clear that the Jeppos are starting to take over. What’s worse, AKD himself is beginning to show some concerning signs. Still, I honestly thought they’d perform better than Ranil.

i think akd is doing a reasonable job when it comes to shifting politics and has done so for a certain extent .
i agree he certainly shouldn't listen to jeppas but also he shouldn't listen to npp front either. Have you listened to their interviews , they r a totally lost cause .
