මාගේ මුස්ලීම් සහෝදරයිනි, ඔබලාගේ සිත තුල කොතරම් වෛරයක් තිබේද? අපි හිතුවේ හිනාවෙලා කතා කරනකොට ඔබ අපි සැම සහෝදරයන් කියලයි.

ඒ දවස් වල "පොල් කුඩු තියෙනවද මාත්තයා, පොල් ක‍ටු තියෙනවද මාත්තයා, පරණ යකඩ කෑලි තියෙනවද මාත්තයා..." කියාගෙන අපේ ගෙවල් වලට ආ විට අපි ඔබව අව්‍යාජව පිළිගත්තේ අහිංසක ව්‍යාපාරිකයන් යැයි සිතමිනි.

ඒත් එදා අපෙන් ලබා ගත් සත පහ පොදි ගසා අද අපේ රටේ ඉඩම් ටික කොල්ල කන්න දත කයි. සිංහල තරුණිය...න්ව වංචාවෙන් රවටා විවාහ කරගෙන ඉස්ලාම් වලට බලහත්කාරයෙන් බඳවා ගනී, ඒත් සිංහල තරුණයෙක් මුස්ලීම් යුවතියක් සමග හාද කමක් ඇති කරගත් විට ඒ සිංහල තරුණයා ඉස්ලාම් වැළඳ ගත්තේ නැත්නම් ඔහුව මරා දමන්න වුනත් පසුබට නොවෙයි.! දරුවන් දුසිම් ගණන් හදා මේ රට ඉස්ලාම් කිරීමට හදයි? කුරානයේ තිබෙන සුළු සුළු වර්සස් අල්ලාගෙන ඉස්ලාම් භක්තිකයින් සිටින ප්‍රදේශ වල පොලිස් නිලධාරීන්ව පවා පොලු වලින් ගසා චප්ප කර මරා දමයි?

මේ වෛරයට, ක්‍රෝධයට, ද්වේශයට හේතුව කුමක්ද? ඇයි ඔබ කන්න දුන්න අත හපා කන්නේ? එදා සුද්දන් ඔබගේ මුතුන් මිත්තන්ව සොය සොයා මරා දමද්දී අපේ සිංහලේ රජතුමන්ලා ඔවුන්ව නැගෙනහිර පදිංචි කරවා ‍රැක ගත්ත එකට දෙන තෑග්ගද මේ?

කළු රාමසානයේ බිල්ලක් වූ සාජන්ට් නවරත්න බන්ඩාරගේ දයාබර මෑණියන් හෙළු කඳුළු වියැලෙන්නට කාලයයි මේ.
මේ අහිංසක පොලිස් නිලධාරියාව ඉතාම අමානුෂික ලෙස ඝාතනය මුස්ලිම් අන්තවාදීන්ට විරුද්ධ වෙමු.

Constable Bandarage was to be a father in a few months

Twenty-nine-year-old Police constable Nawaratna Bandarage, who was killed by a Puttalam mob was to be a first-time father in a few months. Bandarage returning to the station after traffic duties was set upon by a group of men armed with clubs, knives and swords at Majestic junction.

He was an unfortunate victim of the yet-to-be overcome grease yaka, whether he is a myth or a reality. He was mistaken for a grease yaka by the mob who had decided to take the law into their hands.

“Despite pleading for his life, the killers did not have any mercy. They cut him with sharp swords; it was pure barbarism,” the dead constable’s elder sister, Chandrika Menike, said.

A resident of Jayagama in Nochchiyagama, Bandarage joined the police force as a constable in October 2006. After undergoing training at the Kalutara Police College, he began his career in Trincomalee. He sought a transfer to Puttalam after he got the happy news that he was to be a father for the first time. In January, 2011 he was transferred to Puttlam.

“We grew up together amidst poverty. It was with much difficulty that my brother passed the Advanced Level. Knowing that he could not continue with studies, he decided to join the police,” Chandrika said.

Bandarage was taking care of not only his expecting wife, but also his old parents and Chandrika’s two children.

His wife Nadeeka Sandamal, was not in a state to talk to us when we visited their home. Police have arrested some 20 suspects involved in the mob attack and recovered the knives and clubs alleged to have been used in the attack.

තමන්ගේ ජාතිය ගැන කවරෙක් හෝ කතා කරයිද, ඔහුට ජාතිවාදියා කියා බැන වදින අවජාතිකයින් සුලු පිරිසක් සිටින එකම ජාතිය වන්නේ සිංහල ජාතිය විය හැකිය.

CAIRO: An Islamic cleric residing in Europe said that women should not be close to bananas or cucumbers, in order to avoid any “sexual thoughts.”
The unnamed sheikh, who was featured in an article on el-Sawsana news, was quoted saying that if women wish to eat these food items, a third party, preferably a male related to them such as their a father or husband, should cut the items into small pieces and serve.
He said that these fruits and vegetables “resemble the male penis” and hence could arouse women or “make them think of sex.” Bikyamasr.com cannot independently verify the accuracy of the news item at time of writing.
He also added carrots and zucchini to the list of forbidden foods for women.



The sheikh was asked how to “control” women when they are out shopping for groceries and if holding these items at the market would be bad for them. The cleric answered saying this matter is between them and God.
Answering another question about what to do if women in the family like these foods, the sheikh advised the interviewer to take the food and cut it for them in a hidden place so they cannot see it.
The opinion has stirred a storm of irony and denouncement among Muslims online, with hundreds of comments mocking the cleric.
One reader said that these religious “leaders” give Islam “a bad name” and another commented said that he is a “retarded” person and he must quite his post immediately.
Others called him a seeker of fame, but no official responses from renowned Islamic scholars have been published on the statements.
