To whom it may concern,

I would like to propose something which is the root cause of Sri Lanka's poverty and slow development. Sri Lanka is a country which has no fossil fuel naturally. Therefore We have to import fossil fuel. And we are paying plenty of dollars for it. What if we have a method to stop importing fossil fuels in 20 years. I would like to suggest the best way to do it.

1. Build solar-powered charging stations covering all around Sri Lanka. You can do it by collaborating with Tesla, Nissan like electric car manufacturers because of mutual benefits.
If we have charging stations everywhere nobody hesitates to buy an electric car. Remove the taxes from electric cars. In the short term, the Government will lose some tax money but in the long term, it will be more profitable because more electric vehicles mean low fuel usage. Low fuel usage means low import expenses. And people who have a fuel car already, make an offer from the government to citizens to exchange their existing car + 'money to balance the deal' to an electric car. The government should aware of finding a market to sell used fuel cars from the region of Africa where is really used cars needed.
In charging stations electric car owners need to wait 20 to 40 minutes. The government can use that opportunity. Open a "helabojun" and Coop market nearby every station. All Coop supermarket chain is near bankruptcy now. This will create more job opportunities too in rural areas and save the Coop Supermarket chain.
Reduce the fuel-powered electric power generation by Solar, Wind and Water power.

2. Identify the areas where the most effective wind speed to generate electricity from wind power.

3. Get appropriate actions to effectively use water powered power stations.

4. Encourage people to buy solar panels by reducing the taxes and interest rates on solar loans.

5. I have experienced that brightest people in Sri Lanka end up in Australia, NZ, UK, USA or Japan. Because our R&D expenses are low. Please start an institute which is running R&D projects. Start R&D projects to solve common problems in Sri Lanka. By this, Successful projects will save Sri Lankan economy although the starting cost is high. After a decade, we will have our own military equipment manufactured in Sri Lanka, and vehicles, medicine, etc. If we failed to do that, in 20 years, our Avg IQ will drop further from 79. Because all smarter people going away. Please rise R&D expenses. Create appropriate jobs for smarter people.

If Sri Lanka stopped using Fossil Fuel, then no one can politically pressure us and we are somehow self-sustaining in term of energy. If we made our country fossil fuel free in 20 years, we will ahead of other countries. Because fossil fuel will not last long.
