Mchn no element in this universe can be "Nothing".It has to be something.Water can turn into ice,or a cloud but it can never be nothing.we say when water vaporized it became nothing.But it translated into air or a cloud.We can't say it became nothing.Same theory applies to all the matters in this universe.Our body will become soil,but what will happen to the memory,thoughts,emotions those will definitely have to translate into something,that memory will find the tendencies which we call a rebirth.You don't get reincarnated,But your memories will have a rebirth.

Machan, your argument is right. I don’t deny it. But I don’t accept the whole rebirth story without any proper reason just because Lord Buddha said it. Not because it is not proven by the science but I just don’t feel it’s right. There has to be a better explanation to what happen to our soul after death! And if we do not remember the memories from our previous life, there is no point having it hidden deep in the mind .

And if we do not remember the memories from our previous life, there is no point having it hidden deep in the mind .

Mchn I get your point,I have been there the way you think.This whole perception happens because you think that a person called "I" will continue to rebirth and you as a person should have the memory of your previous birth.It is not like that because there is no self in you which you can call permanent or as a whole.What you call as you is in constant change as everything in the universe.your memory that happen because of your conscious or unconscious actions (karma) will go into another transformation according to its tendencies.We call this rebirth.But what actually happens is your memories changed into author form.There is no "I" continues.You are referring to your brain as your mind.that is why the confusion.But mind is not brain, it is in your whole body.If you touch the dimension above your intellect then you can see(experience) your memories and follow them up back to some extent to see how it formed(changed) (this can refer to as you can recall past lifes)

The memories are within you,but your brain is only capable of remembering the memories from the day you born to now.It can remember nothing above that.when another rebirth happens your brain is a new brain(physical Item).You don't remember anything,but when you keep the brain(intellect) aside and touch your memories then you can experience it.I know this sounds ridiculous.But it is not natures intention to hide it.That is how it is.

You don't have to believe anything if it doesn't fit you.You can only experience it and know.But if you try to do it with the intellect it cannot know it because your brain is limited and still in physical realm.it is only capable of thoughts.Hope you got something from this.
