But if you see this one. Just kill - See carefully it also got rings but in WHITE. (Not in black) These are extremely venomous. Kill is despite of sin.

Sri Lankan Krait ( Mudu karawala ) - One white ring like a wedding ring.

Common krait ( Thel karawala ) - Two adjacent rings but not like a wedding ring (Old Sri Lankan wedding rings not thin rings like now )

Apart from this below are venomous in Sri Lanka and rest are non or mild venomous.

Cobra (Naya)

Russels viper (Thith polagaa) - 3 layers of black colour circles along the body

Saw scaled viper (Wali polaga) - Bird foot like mark on head

Hump nosed viper (Kunakatuwa / Polon thelissa) - see carefully it has nose like thing calling hump.
