i worked at supply chain (amazon/noon/zomato/food panda)

this how this happens.

amazon has lot of 3rd party vendors/inventory holders who doesnt have actual shops,

they are putting these items here for sell (bit lower price). sometimes own amazon inventory cause of that not even getting their ad clicked, meanwhile in the amazon algorithm slowly the item price will go down , slowly but effectively (usual supply and demand scenario). (same thing happend to apple usb c to c 1m cable) -

1st scenario - cause of no purchase or no click advertisement will go below the average
its mandotary move the inven as soon as we can - so approval coming from ecommerce manager and back end team dont go by item just apply the rates as per the populratity.

2nd scenario - once we will click the item absolutely hike up and order will go to cart , then the magic happens - next thing you know after few mins it will show the real amount without discount,

this all just a plan to sell the item, once u screenshot this and send to yout friend asking if this real or fake - badu hari ithin page reload wela lassanata gaana wadi wela thiyei,
