True.... Even AOpen had a good track record.... It's the Chinese copied capacitors that created the major issues. It's a long story but costed Dell a loss of $300 Million. Others did not disclose the losses including IBM.
OTOH, if not for China the motherboards will not be cheap....
Purchase the one with the best warranty,
PS: The Voyager left the Earth in 1977..... It still sends signals back to Earth..... 44 years have gone by. Electronics still functional.
If I correct, this was capacitor bulging issue.. electrolyte caused it.
there are good brands die sooner and cheap brands last longer sometimes. it is luck
earlier gigabyte was durable, then Asus came to that place
before all, Aopen, Abit, MSI durable
Intel boards last long may be because they have reference design, basic board, better chipset bins
now Asus and Gigabyte like a wave.
50% Asus last longer while rest of the 50% Gigabyte
both Taiwanese companies
seems both mfg boards with solid capacitors
All of my boards died before capacitors.
A good quality power supply and environment condition is important for durability of the motherboard.
using Asus H81 board with branded PSU and 90% dust free case since 2015.
