He sent the chrome parts to the USA for restoration and electroplating. That alone cost him 4 million at that time (this was when USD was around Rs. 125. In today's money that must be around 10 million). The whole restoration would have cost him around 70 - 80 million easily.

Yes but he has his own IT business and has no involvement in Jinasena industries as far as I know. I'm not sure how he's related to the main Jinasena family.
