In the beginning there was 6 or 7 flights scheduled most of them were moved back to BIA by the airlines due to lack of passengers from mattala. This happened back in MR era. If u r a AA person you know about this more than i do

mattala did not make profits back then but traffic was growing.
there were several srilankan airlines flights one mihin lanka several SLAF helitours flights operated with y12s and MA60 and fly dubai.
this government within a month of coming to power removed all sri lankan and mihin flights. that's a fact.
