Aragalaya took three months to achieve it's goals even after the country went bankrupt, peaceful protests are much harder to deal with & tend to do more damage as time goes by, especially when the government's unpopularity is rising! Lapa kota could have avoided all of this but short fat fuck wanted to entertain his born again gang by arresting Gnanasara Thero.

Now bugger is running media campaigns in Anuradhapura to recover his lost reputation.... Hiding Facebook reacts,adding bot likes, hearts, limiting comments, attacking buddhism/monks with propaganda are just early signs of weakness...they are rotting from inside

Exactly. They cared, but they didn’t protest. Rather, they approached Maithree and managed to get him released, because Maithree had nothing against Buddhism. So they saw him as an approachable option.

Lapa Kota’s anti-Buddhist, anti-Sinhala sentiment was visible from the day he got elected, so they knew that approaching the born-again Pacha Kota would be useless. Now Lapa Kota’s popularity has taken a huge hit, and the bugger is trying to stay afloat on a sinking ship. Lapa kota has done irreversable damage to his vote base just to entertain his Born-again pilli...
