In a certain way breeding can support a nation in the long run. But it's not necessary if the majority of the people are intellectuals themselves. Look at the Israel. I guess they built their nation from the dust because they are breeding new Ideas rather than breeding their kind

well, Let me mention an another solid fact repeatedly proved itself to be truth.Which is A nation that doesn't collect lessons from it's past is doomed to fail and forgotten. That's already happening. But I wonder about the thing you mentioned earlier about being obsessed with breeding and it's consequences. When it comes to sinhales, most of the middle class commoners and their higher counterparts would not have more than three childrens . This is according to my observations. Actually the most bold breeders correspond to a certain religion you know what.
