18+ කියල දැම්මේ කව්රුත් නොබලපු නිසා සොරි වෙන්න ඕනේ.බම්ප් එකෙකින් වත් උදව්වක් කරලා යන්න.

btw, pvt universities pumps up a lot of graduates in certain areas, which makes a different in the industry, tempting the industry to grow higher in the specific field (example IT), which again will temp investors to identify the local industrial market as a high potential field and they will be tempted to invest even more. This will go in a cycle and the specific industry will grow rapidly.

Most private universities in SL are associated with some highly recognized universities in foreign countries, and they reflect the university specific features in the local institute. It must be understood that the most vibrant universities ever found in the world are always situated offshore. Not to criticize the local studies, but to appreciate the better place for higher studies, you can see that these foreign countries are industrially at a peak level. We don't make computers, cars, medicines or anything. They are the people invented these things and those are the places where these things are growing up. So its clear that the idea that says the SL universities are the best in the world is a bit of a hype and its always good to keep yourself linked with universities located in countries where computers are invented and being created at the moment. And we can safely assume that people coming from those places will posses better knowledge/experience in those fields.

There are inventors who invent computers. And there are super duper pros (as they call themselves) who talks about them. You decide which one you should hold hands with.

I just wrote that. Its not totally suitable for a speech if you don't want the graduates from the local universities to be pissed off about you so carefully take the opinions you like and include them in your speech. Can't think of a place to grab info in this topic as this is kinda specific for our country.. but try seating on google.

The bottom line is, foreign universities has better capabilities in being up to date with the industry as the industry is emerged and growing in those countries. So its better to be linked with those universities.

If its a subject like nano technology, that requires certain advance instrument to teach the student in that area. This is just an example that facilities matters too, not only the exams and the study load. Some people says that the next industrial revolution is going to be based on nano technology (some people = a chemistry professor from a SL university). If we do not have necessary equipment to study that here, which clearly illustrate that our system is not ready for the day tomorrow.

This is just to contrast why its good to keep contacts with foreign universities, not to criticize the SL universities.
