A340, A330 both were designed together.. but A340 wasn't that successful compared to A330.. with high oil prices A330 starts to dominate sales.. (specially the A330-300 version).

A380 is very quiet and has extra luggage space by the windows side.
People like to travel in it, as its the largest passenger jet.
For upper classes they have showers, suites etc..

I tried booking a flight through Sri Lankan website, specially because of this offer and every time I searched for a flight, it ended up showing an error page.
Then, I called their Hotline.
The lady who answered said that I cannot book flights online because “prices are not updated and hence, the site shows an error” Then I asked if I can make a reservation over the phone and avail myself of the offer. Then she says “Offer is only valid for customers who make the booking online”
When I told her that it is not possible to make the booking online, she says “The offer is not valid for your destination”
Question 1 : Is there anyone who have claimed the above offer from Sri Lankan? If so, how?

I made a booking via a travel agent and as soon as I received the PNR, I tried login in to Sri Lankan website to select the seats and the meals.
To my amazement, there was no button to save the seat and the meal selections done on the website. As there was no save button, I thought the selections are automatically saved. However, when logged in again, the selections were not there in the ‘Manage my booking’ section.
I called the Hotline again.
The lady who answered said that it is not possible to select seats and book meals online.
Then, as per the available seats list displayed in the web site, I told her my seat preferences. Then she says “Those seats are already reserved”
I told “Those seats are available for booking in the web site”
Answer - “Web site is not updated”
I made the seat and meal reservations via phone and logged in to “Manage My Booking” section of the site again.
I had booked two tickets and made seat reservations for both over the phone. However, only one person’s seat selection is shown in the site.

The person who answered said that the seats are properly selected and they can see the selection in their end. When I said that I cannot see the selections in the website, he sent me another mail confirming the seat numbers.

and I will escalate this to my managers as well.. (unofficially )

PS: currently hotline is handled by a third party and some of them may not be well informed about the updates and promotions.
