    1. 802.11 ac
    2. 802.11 n
    3. disable

The simple answer is 802.11ac is faster than 802.11n. Higher frequency bands are faster but the lower frequencies tend to travel further.
I know, but mostly I connect with my home wifi router which is I believe supports only 2.4Ghz bandwidth. My question is if I disable this option, will it affect the network performance when connecting to that router?

Yeah. That is correct. But connect to this wifi-network from Samsung phone's hotspot I need to disable both 802.11 ac and 802.11n. That's what I'm concerned
Bit weird issue... What's the Wireless chip on the laptop? First try the Samsung hotspot, with NO authentication/password. Could be a driver issue too.

802.11 ac 5Ghz Data Rates upto 867 Mbps
802.11 n Support both 2.4 Ghz and 5Ghz Data Rates upto 300 Mbps

If your End Device is not supporting 802.11 ac Connect with 802.11 n you still get 300 Mbps but Your internet Connection maybe 100 Mbps Max , Speed only affect for file sharing between to endpoints within Same Network
