having a baby is always feasible and safe than trying to abort in some shady way and die horribly. especially when you are 6 months in.
You don't see the physical deformities until the fetus starts growing it's limbs. You can detect the deformities before but parents will stay hopeful. Anatomy scan is done when the fetus is 20 weeks old and that is when the decision should be taken. Don't have to tell you how hard it is for the parents to take that decision and they will take their time before making up their mind. So 6 months is not the problem here. Be a parent and you will understand

Yeah. What I said was aborting in the 6th month should not be questionable in the right circumstances. Doesn't matter if its 3 months or 6 months it's basically 'killing' but one should not judge the decision if the reasons for the decision are not presented. Look on the bright side, if she aborted the baby for selfish reasons the baby didn't suffer a lifetime with a bad mother who didn't even want the baby in the first place.
