In my current organization next year plan is to reduce help desk head count with AI chatbots. We are outsourcing part of level 1 and 2 to SL and India.I try my best to keep the SL contract going.But Sri Lankan workforce is getting expensive and with reduced quality of work.Still cheaper than hiring full time employees from here.The thing is AI can really replace entry level technical people.So we just need some warm blood with good Emotional skills to manage people and with this current labor market there's plenty of them. I'm seeing sri lanka is trying to Increase it's IT workforce.But it should good enough to compete with rest of the developing countries and now AI.
So i was able go to microsoft ignite this year and amount of stuff related to automation and Generative AI is really scary in terms of our job security.LOL.
i was thinking that there will be a day you will just say to a AI to build your Infrastructure in cloud and it's all prompts.IT will end on the hands of IT. Who needs to pay 6 figures to all these software engineers when you can just buy a subscription from microsoft.

nope. NFT is just a scam. no real world use case.

A lot of teaching jobs are going to get replaced by AI. In the US, students who had difficulies with studies sought the help of tutors. Now they use AI to get answers and that's just. They aren't learning anymore, at least in the traditional sense.
Even in certain school districts AI aided learning software is being ptovided to students. Teaching is becoming obsolete.

ඒක තමා මන් කියන්නේ, මන් ඔය thread එකේ උඩ දාලා තියෙන්නේ Open AI ලාගේ අලුත් o3 model එක ARC AGI benchmark එකෙන් ගත්ත result එක. අපි පාවිච්චි කරන o1 වගේ model මේ benchmark එකෙන් උපරිම අරන් තියෙන්නේ 13% වගේ හැබයි o3 එක 80% මේ benchmark එකේ වැදගත් වෙන්නේ මේක AGi test කරන්න හදපු benchmark එකක්. හැබයි මන් තාමත් විශ්වාස කරන්නේ LLM එකකට AGI එකක් වෙන්න නම් බෑ කියලා. හැබයි o3 model එක agent කෙනෙක් විදියටත් behave කරනවා.

modern LLMs are more than if else mchn, අඩුම තරමේ ඕවා train කරන උනවත් දන්නේ නෑ neural network එක වැඩ කරන හැටි. මොකද train කරාට පස්සේ neural network එකේ weights සෙට් වෙන හැටි අපිට තේරුම් ගන්න බෑ. Claude 3.5 sonnet වගේ model එකක් try කරලා බලපන්.okath ara NFT wala hype eka wage weida?

first, they build Internet to Get every data possible from EveryWare. then social media to get every kind of shit about people. then came MMORPG, battle royal games to collect human behavior (there are games for faming to terraforming planets) , now they are feeding all collected data to AI's and robots. FUCK YAH>>

Yeah this will happen, but when this happens not only software engineering all the other jobs in the world would be absolute. Because if an AI can produce such a complex system without human help every other job should be walk in the park. And imagine AI writing other AIs and Automation agents in matter of hours. Every office job, management job will be automated within days. And Microsoft will earn billions of dollars ( but Microsoft will never be the company to figure this out
)
