Governing party MPs without portfolios form an organization

Governing party parliamentarians who have received high preferential votes and have not received portfolios have decided to form an organization to challenge heavyweights in the government.
The organization, which has reportedly been formed by UPFA Colombo District MPs, also includes several former deputy ministers as well.
The main aim of the organization it is learnt is to ensure that its members receive responsible positions in the government. Two UPFA MPs from the Colombo District have reportedly attended the meeting held at a five star hotel to discuss the formation of the said organization. Governing party parliamentarians representing the districts of Galle, Kandy, Mathale, Anuradhapura, Gampaha and Nuwara Eliya have attended the meeting.
A Colombo District parliamentarian had said at the meeting that the “boss” had sidelined them after using their monies for the governing party campaign.
