Of course it does! But I can't remember the memory benches :D

OK found one.

It destroys AMD's memory performance by a long margin!

Hmm... Tntel's IMC nw workin no...?:P
wot abt Phenom II...:frown:

Ok...Lets discuss abt X58 & 790GX\FX platforms....
i gt a news dat nxt AMD chipset cum wid SATA III....
And other thing AMD chipsets powerd wid ATI southbridge....its gud fo increase GPU performance.....
Any news abt upcomin chipsets.....

Yeah, I've been waiting for these chips to come out for a long time. I saw a lot of benchmarks too, its good to see AMD can FINALLY actually compete with Intel's lineup. Besides, major props to AMD!

I'm seriously happy, if this continues this way, we'll be able to see some major price drops from both Intel and AMD. Woot!!!

Don't be confused. Chipset building and VGA card building are completely different things. It maybe the same company, but they are different sections :D

Intel's IMC is working. It is the main improvement in i7. You don't have to remind me or anyone about it. It is a fact.

Why would people need SATAIII when SATAII has more than enough bandwidth???

LOL even the Fastest SATA II drives cant get close to SATA II bandwidth, hey btw USB 3 is comming fellas make sure u buy one with USB 3 ok

Agree.. Many of us still using 7200rpm HDD on none RAID systems...
Even with RAID, SATA bandwidth, 3Gbps means 3Gbps per drive, not for the whole array.

Yo do not forget that intel copied AMD technology to produce CORE i7.if not sure compare core i7 specs with AMD phenom. Both have intergrated memory controllers & Hypertransport technology,of course Intel gave them different names.AMD gives better price for their products while Intel try to take much as possible from their customers.I'm not saying intel is bad but not worth the price.I'm sure Phenom 2 will be given reasonable price like $250.

intel didn't copy anything. they just used a design. (nobody said anything when amd had the same design as intel before they adopted imc and ht, ha? life is like that. the cowards blame others when they fail.) am not defending anyone, but these complains are BS!

and what do you mean $250 is a good price? core i7 920 is only $20 higher and perfroms WAY faster. duh! i'd say PII 920 should be around $150 if they are to convince me to buy one!

OFC if u already own a X58 board and three sticks of DDR3 RAM no one should even think of buying a Phenom II, the platform Costs are way too high for Intel and the performance benefit is not justified, I think the current price for Phenom II is Ideal, thats why Intel is going to drop prices of the Core 2 line very soon, spoiling the party for AMD.

yes, but when AM3 chips come out, DDR3 price will be a common. Only the mobo will change things :)

well to be honest i was expecting more.but i'm not disappointed i think the problem is core i7s come with IMC now
Um... how ironic is that even with IMC, Phenom I or II can't beat Core 2's :-)lol:) memory latency.

    Ithin thawa mona kathaada? :P
