I have bought dialog 3g broadband connection and When I tried to install it to my Linux it wont detect any:sorry: And I called service center and they told me Oh its not working on linux!. They didnt told me that when i'n purchasing it even when I ask is this compatible with any os: frown: . What the hell do i need to install MS windows only to access Internet? :shocked:

I cannot even disable the connection cuz I'm in 6 months agreement!

Anyone can help me with this problem

    GOD ur so unwise, Ofcource the Huawei E220 supports Linux but only in 2.6.2X and upward kernels, just update ur Linux dude dont bitch, i cant belive ur only using linux and dont know this, plus theres something called "Google" if you search this "E220 Linux" youll get tons of info on how to install the modem on Linux, why do u ppl always depend on some one elses openion, just do a research ur self,

    exactly what are you trying to install ? give details of the device or better yet, search the net to see if that device is compatible with linux.

    Have u tried that modem in your linux.. for me I tried all of this but no good :no:
    even not detecting usb device when i plug my modem, If u able to install both its drivers and software plz can u help me with this. Cuz i dont have any reasonable point to install windows.
    I tried Ubuntu ultimate too.. same result,

    any help appreciated.

    did you upgrade the kernel to a 2.6.2x version ? presumably the latest available kernel will do.
    What's the output of lsusb -v when you plug in that device ?
