if your are a billionaire's boy in Sl you don't have to pay a thing. but most of us are coming from middle class families which is hard to afford the cost of living and uni fee in australia by getting them from parents.so evryone should work..

but look first and foremost if you are from a low to middle class family and if you don't have a very good education I mean a really good educational background and professional background I don't think there is really a point of coming here and having such a hard time in Australia. Because even after those years of hard time you are not going to have a dramatic change in your life because of the not so great background/history you have.

Then the other thing is if you are coming as a student then its better to have a good financial background from parents. It definitely doesn't have to be the case of a billionaire's son. It definitely not. but its always good if your parents can support you for some extent. if not most students who doesn't have a good financial background come and work their assess off and work illegally and ends up scraping through their degree which by the way not one of the most demanding degrees either. then they ends up with a job that does not pay above the average. then all they do is eat work and sleep for their entire life. They may consider it as a better life than living in SL but I don't see a big difference.

There is obviously going to be some exceptions for this. but all I am saying is when considering a life decision such as this its always good to have a good background be it educational/financial/professional depending on your situation. not to mention personality too. if you do not have either of those I would say first work on some of those in SL and then start working on going abroad. Its always good to have a good base before whatever the thing you start in your life

i know right.. i can't even recall a single night i slept for more than 5 hours in my first 2 years

Still a student here. I gotta pay 12.5k for a sem. I got no backup from sri lanka. Cant even think about having a five hour sleep. Still struggling to survive.
No other options left, I've to go though this. But living here is much better than Sri lanaka !!

most of the people who's planning to migrate thinks this place is heaven on earth..but truly its not. i have wasted my good years in this bloody land..no regrets tho..

machan i have a degree and nearly 4 years exp in the industry, thinking to come there (Melbourne may be) coz my future wife's brother is a citizen there. even still didn't go for IELTS and having 0% knowledge what exactly it is. next week i'm planning to visit an agent.

I know that at the first time anyone wont be able to do an industry related job, "ODD" jobs for surely, just wanted to know your experiences and ideas.

true shit...youll get in big trouble if you are a smoker, drinker, mal user and dont know the limit..there are like more than 10 friends of mine who fucked up their license at least for a month..


so if you know your limits and know your working boundaries and to balance things..

machan have you seen like the uni fees and stuff now...its just a stupid thing to waste so much time and if you get to the point where you fail because you work all the time and no time to study..
whts the point machan..best thing is to do is finish up 1st year in sri lanka.. or maybe even 4,5 units which takes as credits here and then apply/..
then the fees will be arnd 40k and you have to pay that up..

because ones when you get here then you can work and depend on it without going to cover the uni fees..
thats just stupid because now its not 2007-2012.. because at that time there were colleges and tafes available.. now its just uni machan and for a uni 26k per year..

Is it possible to get PR in AUS by just studying in there (Any stream) or is it must to have our studying field related jobs on their job demand list?
These days most of the SL people are migrating to AUS (It is like a trend now) for their higher studies and they never return back, I don't know how they stay there after they finish their studies and post study working period.

Any idea???
