Best MoBo for Core2Quad

dude that's a seriously unbalanced pc. go for a low end cpu and overclock the crap out of it, and use that money you save from the cpu on a vga card.

u can get 3.5GHz easily from an E5200, and you can get a 8800gt for around 20k these days.

forget gaming....comeon can a duo handle video encoding more faster than a quad??
and 20K for a VGA? my dad will eat me...

basically, if you are NOT going to use SLI, keep away from CRAPPY nVidia chipsets.

1. they overclock less than Intel's equivalent
2. they use WAY MORE power than Intel's equivalent
3. their hard drive performance is lower than Intel's ICH8 or later disk controllers

* though their LAN performance is better iirc.

when/if apps come with SSE4 optimizations, at the same clock speed the Penryn dual core CPUs will be faster than Conroe quad core CPUs. remember, DivX 6.8 got a 100%+ boost from SSE4. but quad core is not two times as fast as a dual core. besides, dual core CPUs overclock better.

don't u want a PC that can handle EVERYTHING well, instead of only ONE THING better? it's your money though. if i was you, i wouldn't go below an HD4850 if i got a quad core. HECK, i wouldn't go below an HD4850 if i built a new PC, regardless of whether you buy a quad core a dual core

my previous Athlon64 3GHz/512MB DDR400/Nvidia FX5200 did a 5min premiere composition in about 20 mins...and im tired of waiting that amount of time...

and my dad told me 2 setup da crappest PC for him...
but my PC mobo is havn some RAID probs so i thought i can use his PC for sometimes too..
well i was with PC from grade 2 bro..thats 1997..
and u cant ever those are not used by me...
cant use SLI coz im not a magician or a sakwithi... i cant make 50000 a 1lakh..
and im considered about the cooling very much...
my last PC is an Athlon64 and it runs around 62C in stock cooler, i clean my cooler 1ce 3 months...and its really hot here man...around 32C

and how do u say that i wont tweak this PC??
machan time flies...when times gone i may want to get more out of my system 2 compete with the future...and iv done overclocking since i was in grad 5 with my P3 1000MHz on a gigabyte board..i clockd it near 1300MHz and im not a noob in PC hardware..
just asked u guys thoughts cz i dnt have practical experinces about these boards...

It is because the CPU isn't the bottleneck but the VGA is, + Crysis is a killer

Not in current version of premiere as it doesn't take the advantage of SSE4.

HD4850 is a VGA card from ATI. It's very good. Costs Rs.25000 though. But can play anything at good resolution and max detail.
