I began to expand in height approximately around the age of 14; at that time I was barely 4'11" or 5'. Now I'm 18, but still I'm 5'5" (a few cm short of 5'6") and have not grown much further.

Now the issue is my mother (and my father sometimes) is greatly worried about it because, considering the height of other lads my age, I'm quite short.
Suggest to me what can be done...

    ADO no

You’ll never grow again… Use HGH with a good doctor before your growth plates close.

This is a very serious matter the same thing happened to me.
But my parents never took it seriously, and now I’m stuck at 5'4".

People might say there are side effects, blah blah blah… don’t care about that. If you want to have a good girlfriend, marriage, or personality your height is the number one factor.

Go and find a good doctor ASAP if you don’t want to end up like me.

    Its mostly about genetics,

If your parents do care and compare with your peer's heights then they are pretty stupid.

I am 5'6" and my parents never had a trouble with my height, even my partner.

So, its looping back to genetics. As mentioned earlier, the second option would be to have GH if you do not care about after effects (They are unpredictable) as you have some years left. As I have heard Arjun Tendulkar (Son of Sachin Tendulkar) had some doses during his young age which could skip the genetical shortness that he would have inherited.

Well, my father is 5'5", but my father's paternal uncles were all over 6 ft...As for my mother's side, I do not have any uncles, only aunts, the tallest one being 5'4... My maternal grandfather was about 5'3". My paternal grandfather died in the 80s. I don't know his height; however, almost all my paternal granduncles are damn tall. Their sons and grandsons are tall too...
