Sealion's gonna be a massive hit

1 Week with the BYD Sealion 6 – First Impressions

Wrapped up my first week with the Sealion 6, and here’s the quick verdict:

Performance: Very good. Smooth and responsive—fun to drive.
Build: Solid overall, but exterior plastic trims scratch way too easily.
Sound system: Surprisingly good!
EV range: Decent, but nothing to brag about.
Free charger: Locally sourced, but works great.
Missing features: Still waiting on JKH. The delay’s getting frustrating.
Dash cam: Not included. Accessories coming “in a few months”... hopefully.
BYD app & online services: Not available yet for Sri Lanka, and doesn’t look like it’s coming anytime soon.
Suspension: Feels a bit too soft—but still early days.

BYD's got a great foundation here, but they’ve got work to do if they want to deliver a premium EV experience.

This is the locally assembled charger from JKCG, provided free of charge with the BYD. Some users have reported that it stopped working quickly, prompting them to switch to a charger from Vega Innovations.
