there aint a dept called Operations research machan, but there is a Domestic operations department & a International Operations department.

wat kind of operations research u do? those above departments do liquidity related matters domestic & reserve investment for international.

mathematical modeling for optimize profit,minimize lose and such kind of things.
but there are lot of financial optimization applications other than industrial problems
