If you are migrating is 23kg enough?

For 23kg, you can only use a medium size suitcase.
Buy a very lightweight fabric suitcase. If you plan to use it for many trips, look for a 8-wheel (4 double wheels), anti tamper zip and tsa lock.

Branded ones are always better, but expensive.

I use Delsey luggage because I fly regularly. Very expensive. One time the suitcase was crushed during a flight but it got back to shape with a few knocks here and there. And nothing inside had damaged.

Also Delsey, Samsonite etc will send you spare parts like wheels for free (not in SL) if the handlers break them.

Carlton and VIP are reasonable priced/quality brands available in Sri Lanka. IT luggage is a cheap but decent brand.

Finally, pls don't get cheated at Pettah. Try Nolimit wellawatta or any cool planet for good suitcases. If you have money, go to PG Martin.

23kg for check-in luggage + 7kg cabin luggage + Backup I think it would be enough for me since im a single, Thanks a lot for your input bro. Really helpful tips
