අළුත් Microsoft edge එක Google chrome එකට හුඟක් සමානයි කියලා අපි දැනටමත් දන්නවනෙ. ඒ අළුත් edge එකත් chrome වගේම chromium open-source project එකෙන් හදල තියන නිසා. නමුත් අපි වෙනදා පාවිච්චි කරපු chrome extensions අළුත් edge එකේ ‌ඉන්ස්ටෝල් කරන්න බැහැ. ඒක කරන විදියයි මේ කියලා දෙන්න යන්නෙ.

මුලින්ම edge බ්‍රව්සර් එකට ගිහිල්ලා edge://extensions කියලා උඩ address bar එකේ ටයිප් කරලා එන්ටර් කරන්න. නැත්තන් මේ පෙන්නලා තියන විදියට දකුණු පැත්තෙ උඩ කෙළවරේ හරහට තියන බෝල 3 ක්ලික් කරලා ඒ එන මෙනු එකෙන් Extensions යන්න.

ගියාම වම් පැත්තෙ පහළ ඇති මේ පෙන්නලා තියන Allow extensions from other stores කියන ටොග්ල් එක. ඒක දාන්න.

දැන් chrome web store එකට ගිහින් ඒකෙ තියන extension එකක් ඉන්ස්ටෝල් කරලා බලන්න. වැඩේ හරි කියන්නෙ දැන් ඔයාට පුළුවන් chrome වල පාවිච්චි කරපු extensions ඒ විදියටම edge වලත් ඉන්ස්ටෝල් කරලා පාවිච්චි කරන්න.

A few years ago, did anyone think that M$hit will embrace Chromium? No way... There were law suits. But what happened now. They say that they adopted the Chromium open source project in the development of the new Microsoft Edge to create better web compatibility for our customers, and less fragmentation of the web for all web developers and are continuing their commitment to be an active contributor to the Chromium project.
What I believe is that they just adopted the old adage "If you can't beat them, join them" - It's a good strategy.
