I also read about the Chinese claiming 33+ mutations - but no further details published where in the genome and how many nucleotides changed.

Previously the NUS team (Singapore) reported 382 nucleotide deletion in Orf8. This is the only major change ever reported.
This was noticed in 8 patients. This was similar to what happened with SARS earlier and was hopeful news. But after that nothing heard.

Currently published data shows after analysing nearly 3200 genomes between December 2019 to April 2020 the mutations are minimal with a rate estimate of 25.9 subs per year.
Let's wait till they publish anything solid.

Yeah.. and what i heard earlier was the covid19 mutates very slowly.. now suddenly thy say thre r 30 mutations.. btw as i remember RNA viruses usually mutates and become less agressive ryt.. rarely thy become agressive.. isnt it??
