It's true that AEDs are there for use by anyone with minimal training to hell in the event of a cardiac arrest. But what you must understand is that machines are not perfect and neither are humans who use them.

Even in the shockable rhythms we additionally give medication in-between shocks to increase its effect. So it's actually a protocol.

There's no point in you guys arguing over it here. I'm not aware of what type of defibrillator is included in the ambulances but what we should do is get AEDs and in the meantime start a long term training program for our EMTs
