Ape godak aya lankawe ISP walin net yana ayane. onna ehenam api ewage service, quality, customer care, pricing, performance etc gena methana katha karamu.
Mokada denatama eka eka connectio gena ape aya threads godak hadala thiyenawane.

eth api digatama mewa gena katha karanne gatte naththam ISP wala inna aya karanna yanne customers la cheat karanwa. ewata example nam thiyenawa.

mamath ISP ekaka 6 months withara hitapu nisa knowledge eka tikak wedi karagatta, ithin danne nathi ayata help karannam, danna aya mata help karanna..

Mulinma mewa pehedili karaganna. oyalage connection eke CIR eka mokadda kiyala
CIR kiyannne Committed Information Rate
saralawa kiwwoth ape godak ayata shared connectionne thiyenne..
EG: mama SLT ADL 512 Kbps ekak gedara use karanawa. mata godak welawata lebenne 480 Kbps connection ekak.
Ithin CIR eka ( 480/512 )x100% =94 % wage....
Anna ehema thama CIR eka balaganne...
eka nisa ISP ekakin connection ekak gaddi CIR eka gena nikamata ahala balanna

Me thread eke api digatama ISP performance katha karamu, mama ilangata mama ISP wala international backbone gena mama danna dewal kiyannam...

International backbones of Main ISp's in sri lanka

Currentley SLT has 3.2 Gbps international backbone.

That's why we have an excellent speed from a SLT connection.

Lankacom support to 300 Mbps international backbone.

I heard dialog has 1round 150 Mbps International backbone.

You can download torrents from dialog connection after changing a setting in da software....
how many times do i hv to say this thing ....

so the downstream CIR is 993/1024 * 100 = 96.97 %
and the upstream CIR is 219/256 * 100 = 85.54%

Download CIR = 94.23%
Upload CIR = 85.15%

3.2X1024=3276Mbps/2=1638 users ?!!!!!!?

2.SLT has 3.2 Gbps international backbone. but they sell 512 home packages
3.2X1024=3276Mbps/.512kbps=6398 users only but there lot.......

3.if dialog get "dialog has 1round 150 Mbps International backbone"
tey sell 1Mbps/2Mbps/4Mbps
still few customers only.........get 40kbps to 160kbps..
but with real traffic
150 Mbps/1Mbps=150 users only !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One thing about both ADSL and wimax packages these ISPs offer. they say its a MAXIMUM of 512/1Mb/2Mb or whatever else speed and NOT dedicated.
