well mine is Comcast cable internet the speed is around 6MB

Just checked my download speed. I get about 53kBps (or 424kbps) with my 512kbps connection.

You can't ever reach 70kBps on a 512kbps connection. 64kBps is the absolute maximum for a 512kbps connection. If you get more than 50kBps, that's excellent for a 512k connection. (note the difference between b and B. I stated the connection speed in kbps, but the actual speeds in kBps)

It's impossible. The speeds are limited by SLT. We get 50kBps not because there is lots of traffic, but because that's pretty much the maximum you can get. Some areas, which are very close to an exchange might get 60kBps, but 70kBps is impossible, unless SLT has screwed up somewhere.
