I'm just wondering why SLT give more bandwidth to their users,cz now Dialog owns the CBN sat and their next target is cable internet

If they increase the bandwidth, they will have to use a quota system. That is, limit the download amount per month, and charge for the amount that goes beyond that limit, on usage. We don't want that, do we? I'm more than pleased with this 512kbps conncetion + unlimited download amount, rather than a 8Mbps connection and a 20GB limit.

Only if you have a 2Mbps connection I suppose.

Ya machan its works for till 10Mb only try to download 50Mbs. And another advantage is if u are near to colombo, or u are in colombo, u can get the maximum download and upload rate, no prob, Sometimes to download a video song in afternoon will take 45Mints. I mean without using any software, fox also same.

512 kbps in theory=64KBps

512 kbps in practical= 50-55 KBps

2mbps in theory=250KBps

2mbps in practical= more than 200 KBps


the best i got was 60 KBps
