commitment I'd say, I wasn't specially committed to it either..just watched a lot of films, read a lot, chat a lot is all

yeah, reading helps you to improve your vocabulary and speaking helps you to practice it.
Main thing is read as much as you can and speak whenever you get a chance. There should be a balance between both skills.

yeah, reading helps you to improve your vocabulary and speaking helps you to practice it.
Main thing is read as much as you can and speak whenever you get a chance. There should be a balance between both skills.

if you do your reading and get your grammar straight, you are mostly ok..if you know what you are going to say, speaking is just a matter of improvement.

I love every boring book, that's mainly why I improved my English

Anyway, you can try some mystery novels I guess...

Or read on a subject which interests you genuinely.

Actually machan my English knowledge is very poor when I was in grade 7..If my mind correct I scored only 31 out of 100 in year end exam. Fortunately I met a teacher and she was unbelievable...and also she is very strict in her tuition class..It was enough done one wrong thing to get beaten...I was afraid go to class at that time...ultimately she raised me to the climax at the end of O/L exam and I got "A" pass. But I Knew it was 75% contribution from her side.

So far I'm doing basic grammatical mistakes in most of my sentences...and I pleased to elakiriens who are prudential in English, correct me and not going to "bite" me here an there

Only thing is I'm trying to correct myself...
And I will be honored who started this valuable tread

Machan I cannot get the idea of this sentence...."thought I told you never to tell a soul"

Is that meant "I though that I told you, never say about soul" but I cannot understand what you meant by "soul" ආත්මය කියන එකටද??? නැත්නම් "ඔහු ගැන" වගේ අදහසක්ද?
