i guess its a power issue related to VGAhenderson said:Thank you very much for your help.
I will check the VGA as well, I also have some concern about VGA bcoz even when machine is running for hours without a glitch, when a game is started system freezes.
But after 2-3 times of crash with the game it comes stable and works for hours. So what I guess is it might be a PSU capacitor failure so that under normal load it works fine and when VGA is on full power it draws bit high amount of power (VGA is ASUS N7600GS). So that causes to drop voltage significantly and screws the system.
Anyway have to test the VGA for sure.

They might replace the VGA if you take it and explain the situation.henderson said:bought from EPSI

Quality of the power not wattage(i guess) or there is a problem with motherboard(related to VGA)
BTW have u done anything extra ordinary things to your VGA?
NO overclocking software were used. Problem with OS is also possible but reformatting and installing OS is the last thing I need to do.yashan said:You bought it from epsi..OK
I had the same vga card now you are using. It's EN7600GS. I think you have a problem with your Drivers or overclocking softwares. May be problem with your OS
there is a AGP version of 7600GS, the chip can be fixed to any VGA card and it can be fixed to either AGP or PCIe card. In this case 7600 chip is fixed to a AGP card. This was the maximum card I could found in SL which is AGP.yashan said:7600gs is not agp. I have used it.

henderson said:no extraordinary things done to the VGA, and it's just plugged in. Anyway quality of the power is dependent on the PSU isn't it? So the culprit would be the PSU.

Hyper-Threading Technology
Enterprise, online business, and gaming software applications continue to place higher demands on processors. To improve performance in the past, threading was enabled in software by splitting instructions into multiple streams. With today's Hyper-Threading Technology (HT Technology)¹ you get thread-level parallelism on each processor resulting in more efficient use of processor resources–higher processing throughput–and improved performance on today's multithreaded software.
An Intel processor and chipset used with an OS and BIOS supporting HT Technology allows you to:
Run demanding desktop applications simultaneously while maintaining system responsiveness
Keep systems more secure, efficient, and manageable, while minimizing impact on productivity
Provide headroom for future business growth and new solution capabilities
Better gaming and multimedia
HT Technology enables gaming enthusiasts to play the latest titles and experience ultra-realistic effects and game play. And multimedia enthusiasts can create, edit, and encode graphically intensive files while running background applications such as virus scan in the background–all without slowing down.
Improving enterprise environments and online business
With HT Technology, multithreaded server software applications can execute threads in parallel within each processor in a server platform. And with HT Technology in enterprise and e-business environments, businesses can:
Improve business productivity by doing more at once without slowing down
Provide faster response times for Internet and e-Business applications, enhancing customer experiences
Increase the number of transactions that can be processed simultaneously
Utilize existing technologies while maintaining future readiness with compatibility for existing 32-bit applications and OSs while being prepared for the future of 64-bit

They are very considerate, not like the scumbags at Unity Plaza!henderson said:then I should give it a try, thanx for the help.
