click on profile page go down the page to your friends list beside it there is a pencil icon click on it to change it

Your solution doesn't work. People can still click SEE ALL and see all your friends

I set up a dummy identity and friended myself. There is no privacy. As long as I have one "mutual" friend, I can access all of the friends.

Anybody who has one mutual friend with you will be able to view your entire friends list. You can keep your friends list a secret only with respect to people with whom you have no mutual friends. Everybody else is fair game.

I want to hid my freinds list from people searching my profile (not freinds or freinds of freinds). I just got a notification that my quesition hhad been answered in the help centre - but I see no ansers as of yet?? Why should any stalker see my freind list before becoming my freind - why would they change this - to such a non private thing????

I just want to hide my friend's list from strangers. Until yesterday, all you had to do is go to Privacy settings and block strangers from viewing your friend's list while continuing allowing your friends to view it. Now, this friends privacy link disappeared on the privacy settings and this new pencil on the friend's box hides your friends list from everybody-- even your current friends. Why do these people on Facebook complicate. Jesus. The more they try to fancy it, the more fucked up it gets.

This is ridiculous!!! SO facebook now decides what I consider to be private information?? My friends friends ARE NOT NECESSARILY MINE!! I DO NOT WANT THESE OR ANY RANDOM STRANGER SEEING MY FRIEND LISTS< TABS OR PROFILE PICTURE!! Seems the only way to change this is to become visible to only friends in search option?? Thats just marvellous facebook and will make getting in touch with old friends and distant relatives SO MUCH EASIER!! ffs
