I had a problem before when I lost my windows 7 installation cd as I wanted to make a fresh install on my desktop computer. I searched for ways on how I could find alternatives and luckily, they posted a short tutorial to make an installer copied to a flash drive function as a bootable drive.

It was just easy as you just have to make a few changes using the command prompt. You then have to choose to do the first booth on the usb port you are to plug it in. And you can now use it.
