I think we both have the same problem... coz 2 of my friends having da ADSL Home package, I personally know their bandwidth is around 50-55KBps....

Anyway you have 117/8 = 14.625KBps now

Chk u hv correct config on ur DSL modem, router (PPPoA/E, VPI/VCI, Encapsulation VC MUXLLC, Dial on Demand, Idle Time

Loads of things can go wrong.
so if u have to install something on any device which you r using for internet, better to run the inbuilt wizard (on the router) or CD comes with the modem

Call SLT for help, hopefully an engineer will visit u very soon and sort out all ur problems.

Well, it's a matter of speed vs. download amount. They can always make is faster, but they will have to limit the download capacity to 10-20GB per month. ISP charges by the amount of data that passes through them, so if the speed is high, SLT will have to limit the amount we download. You can't have them both. You can, but then they will charge like 20000 per month.

At least be happy that you can download any amount you want (with the time limit of course). Torrents are always fast (if you have enough seeders with good upload speeds- I don't know how, but they are not affected by this share ratio. People who have much faster (even 50 times as fast theoretically) connections can't download even 25% of what we can download per month.

Machan u havent read my 1st post of this thread carefully,
I was a Entree package user till last saturday.. It wasnt a prblm till then... I called SLT and a person visited here this morning... Configurations everything is perfect (I can connect to da internet.. U cant, If there's something wrong in configurations) .. Read the 1st post in this thread again

But.. But.. The two persons I personally know, has SLT ADSL Home 2250/- rental package.. Itz unlimited and itz going abt 50-60KBps... Ive personally tried them... I think itz something to do with configurationz.. not about settings.. In their wirings and all.. At here, or at their servers... Well-I'll see... even at my house there is around 4270 Signal strength destroyed in between the discharger and my router (@ discharger, They analyzed 6004 SS. and from the TP line going to the router they got a 1732 SS reading - read my 1st post again if u ddnt got clicked ) .. So Ill try to put a direct line.. If it wrks will tell u all... (So you guys also can try out that thing )

If this is the case, you can't access those lk sites at full speed either. That's why I said, if they are slow, then there has to be something wrong at your end. Since you said they load very fast, it has to be this common issue we all are facing.

Remember, DNS server speed also has something to do with teh server response time.

Machan the same thing happened to me!! I also used to get 50 to 60 kbps but after chainging the pacage i also get only 2~30 kbps max!!
