true , mobitel is expensive. but dialog FUP is also wrong, its not real FUP. principle of FUP is that it allows free usage of the product and only very few people who abuse the service will be prevented. but you cant classsify 5Gb per month as "abuse of the service".
and all people who write for dialog should realise that you are putting more and more people in to trouble with a network locked modem!

Maybe u didnt read the whole thing, the speed depends on a lot of things, even if you have full signal strength if the access point is crowded you wont get the maximum possible speed.(and you will never get 7.2Mbps that's the theoretical max). and obviously they cant cover the whole damn island in year so we have to wait.

7.2 Mpbs means 7.2 megabits per second
and 8 bits similar to a one byte
So the download speed of 7.2Bbps package is 7.2/8 MB/s ( Megabytes per second)
    it means 0.9 MB/s
so the maximum download speed is 0.9 MB/s (921.6 KB/s)

and In the 512 Kbps ADSL line the maximum download speed is 64KB/s:yes:

more Internet users are confusing about this Mbps with MB/s and Kbps with KB/s;)

Dialog should accept the reality, their network is not good as mobitel. they can market they broadband connection mentioning the true speed. then they can compete with mobitel 1Mbps package. still downlink speed should improve as mobitel is giving the mentioned speed. for that they should have HSUPA but still they dont have HSUPA.
people who write so many phreses for AIRTEL should realise that it doesnt even have 3G in india! forget about HSDPA

LMAO ur argument is pointless, im talking about HSDPA in general in sri lanka, PPL who are intelligent research about the thing hes gonna buy and then make the purchase if it fits his needs, if FUP is wrong you think charging for extra bandwidth is a good thing LMFAO, im having a feeling your SPAMMING here, be sensible man

hey tell me the backbone of Dialog... Mobitel is using SLT lines to give internet. So they can give a high speed connection. previously mobitel had a 20 MB connection from us (Lankacom).

The Problum i got is not the speed.....
    Its about connectivity probs
In my bording place @Kotte its v hard to connect as that area got huge No of users connecting to the same tower or network station.
so my Hsdpa conn useles to use in kotte specialy @night
Dialog must find a technicle solution for this v soon. coz they give avay plenty of Hsdpa conn. these days without considaring the network traffic of some network stations. they must provide high band with for those station or make new station @those plases...:(
