I’m ready to accept if captaincy is offered – Dilshan
If I’m given the captaincy of the Sri Lankan Cricket team I will give my all and serve the nation, cricketer T.M. Dilshan told Ada Derana when questioned on the recent retirement of Kumar Sangakkara from the captaincy.
Dilshan added that the captaincy is a big responsibility and that he was prepared to give a 100 percent effort to lead the country to victory if chosen for the post.
Sangakkara who steped down from the captaincy strongly recommended Dilshan and Angelo Mathews as his personal choices to take up the mantle. He added that the Selectors should seriously look at Dilshan for the potential post.

එම වගකීම 100% ක් ලබාදී රටට විශාල ජයග්රහණයක් හිමිකරදීමට බලාපොරොත්තුවන බව ද හෙතෙම වැඩිදුරටත් කියා සිටියේය.
ශ්රී ලංකා ක්රිකට් කණ්ඩායමේ නායකයා ලෙස කටයුතු කළ කුමාර සංගක්කාර එම තනතුරෙන් ඉල්ලා අස්වීම පිළිබඳව කළ විමසීමකදී ටී. එම්. දිල්ශාන් මේ බව සඳහන් කළේය.
