GT is a very good ADMIN! As far as I know he is not gaining anything from EK.. if he is doing some business using EK and its members then we have a right to ask him to do this and do that!

But now every member has a responsibility to keep it clean too! A lot people who agree with SPAMMERS in this thread! I wonder whether they've done their part to help the ADMIN!! At least when they see a SPAM post care to drop a PM to GTRZ!

thats what im saying machan....... when they see a spam post they pm to GT. but the thing is.. In EK spam means the post which i told ya...

like adult stuff, sri lankan sites etc.....

Well I'm a relative newbie here... But what lk loin said is true..

My obsavation is elakiri is a spammers heaven.. but over doing doesnt help anyone..It is frustrating... atleats contributing sumthing other than.."ela ela" ..."nice".. "hehe".."huhu"...would be something ..(I'm not talking about saying a "Thank you' to a person who helped you out here..)

The main problem seems to be the spammers just want to increase the number of posts..thats it..its just the number of posts & dont care what they want to say...

If u have nothing to say other than something on the line of 'elaela'...whats the point of saying it other than to increase the number of posts ?... by doing this you are spamming the thread, the discussion gets nothing thoughtful added & irritate a lot of people who are looking to have a descent discussion....
Thats why you see 20-30 page threads here that have only a handful of useful comments in them

For example..if the system can show whats the avg amount of words per post by a member...I'm sure you'll find that a spammers avg words per reply is about 5-6..This just shows just how much of an contribution the spammers make to a Forum based website...

Its just NEEDLESS QUANTITY OVER QUALITY..just like the Sri Lankan Hip-Pop scene..No substance..

Lich made this post long time ago. Just check the date. Those days we had some problems, that’s why he made it. Anyway now there are no such problems and everyone have freedom to post what ever they like. I don’t care if the post has only 3 letters or whole page. If you think you should add it then add it!!
It’s actually the personal desire. Elakiri is a place to spend your leisure time.
I am NOT expecting anyone to try hard for keeping the quality of the post you make or just think many times before making a post. This is a fun place. You can post what ever you want.
No one should worry about the posts they make unless they do it in bad intention of ONLY increasing the post count. I don’t see anyone doing it in Elakiri, I know everyone trying to have fun and make their leisure time much more enjoyable.
So I am not going to disturb anyone. Its nice to see everyone feeling happy and enjoying their time they spend on Elakiri. You can post what ever you like and reply with what ever you like. I’m not gonna count the characters of the post. If you think you should add it go ahead, add it!!
Even if it’s only saying thanks or nice etc.. to show your cooperation, Its doesn’t matter if its only 3 letters. If you feel you should say something just say…

Other thing I don’t care whatz a chat room, forum or I don’t care about the definitions of stuff. We are using it for our purposes and what ever we like.

People can open separate threads for what they like. There are separate sections for each subject areas.
About the “U r not alone” thread I don’t have any complain about the posts they make and how they use it. It doesn’t matter even they talk like a chat room or they talk about advance scientific stuff. If they like it, enjoy it and not gonna harm others then it’s all good. Go ahead guys, keep that thread going!

Open thread wala, thamanuth participate wena thread wala needless spamming yanakota..eka anunge deyak wenne kohomada.. ?

Anyway..there are people who loves 2 spam..and there are people who hates it because u cant have a descent discussion in such a thread... so different people hav different opinions...and since this is a democracy & the Admins sees no harm in it, then theres nothing we can do about it....other than to be irritated and move on...

But if only we could keep the spamming to a minimum on topics that were stared with the purpose of having a serious discussion, at least that would be a start... Since this is a place to have fun..I dont see any problem with spamming and turning the thread in to a chat room in fun topics... thats why they were started on the first place ne....

Well thats just MY view...I know many hav different views....so lets just mov on..
