So basically you are here crying out loud from the morning bcos you were "Rasthiyadu"ed by a police officer ?
News flash-when you were stopped in a check point even in America whether you are right or wrong you will be "Rasthiyadu"ed.This is not like going to a super market and buying stuff quickly.Even investigating small thing takes time.

So as you say you were stopped and gonna be charged but then after some talking policemen understand the mistake they made and gave your license back without harassing you-And you call this religious harassment

As I see they were nice policemen in the first place to understand their mistake and give the license back,you know normally in SL you can only get away from a check point is either bribing or calling to some high policemen you know even if you are right or wrong and whatever is your religion is.This is how this corrupted system works,AND it is not the fault of Buddhism or Christianity-It's just corrupted mind of people.

All I see you as an attention whore/forum troll in this thread after reading all what happened to you(which is not a discrimination at all,tbh you were lucky) and those other nonsense.

I don't know what you say is correct but when a policemen sees a moped bike, he would definitely find a fault in it. I experienced this with my moped bike.

And while talking to policemen they use filth and pull out religious issues...

1. LED brightness does not travel a long distance, its really impossible to say that my cross caused the persons vision to be upset.... Now if I placed another Halogen blub, then yes. I will be wrong.

2. The law was put in place to stop bright lights from blinding on coming vehicles. And to avoid three wheelers from looking like pickup trucks etc.

3. If you'll have seen Mate bikes with the bracket in-front... remember they have TWO head lights out of their manufacturer spec. And that would be a even worse offense!

4. I ride my bike over 2000KM/s a month around Colombo and out of Colombo, I have had run into various police officers and NONE ever said anything about a extra lamp, LED can barely be visible if a put the Head beam... I ride normally on the dip. To be a lamp it must illuminate the road... my cross is not a bright light to do that.

5. A Buddhist Police officer can make a exception to a law if it was a LED "Darma Chakraya" considering its their religion symbol. It would be the same if the Police officer was Catholic. Really, the law is there to stop Accidents, Police can depict the law the way they want it.

I am not a idiot, I know if my LED lights are a distraction. If they are flashing/changing color... yes. But they are not. Also from the officers tone he spoke he was not enforcing the law... he was enforcing his attack and hate on the Cross... there are a lot of Buddhist who now say "Kuruse Adahana Wesige Putha"... I do social work so I'm in preview of some peoples extremism on "This is a Buddhist only country". I am afraid that when these people see a cross they really do get distracted... nothing to be done about that.
