(Inflation).

Those are traps, Its true 120,000.00 to be paid in equal amounts in 12 months with no %. But after the credit card grace period ( 40 days or 50 days ) they will add % on pending payment. Your Rs 120,000.00 once added to the Credit card, most probably after first installment ( for around Rs 100,000.00 ) bank will keep on adding charges for the balance payment. So you will end up paying indirect %.

Are you sure about this? I don't think so. I have bought a number of items with this plan.

No. This happens if the payment is not properly converted to the installment plan. you need to call the bank and make sure its properly converted to the installment plan. this happenned to me and called the bank to get it converted. luckily i noticed it before paying any interest for the 2nd month

I just started a new installment plan. Could you please explain how this conversion to be done? I thought it's automatically added.

Even they call it's 0% interest I think they put the price tag with added interest in it. For most electronic items that is the case. If you can get the installment plan for cash price then it's really worth.

it doesnt happen automatically. call the card center and ask them to convert it to the installment plan. they'll do the rest. if properly converted, the amount is shown separately as "installment plan" in credit card statement

This can't be true machan. If we are not able to pay the monthly installment before the period, then YES, there can be some circumstances.

    Agree machan!

I recently bought some stuff from Damro with HSBC credit card 0% interest plan. We only needed to mention that we are buying these for HSBC card offer. They did all the stuff and converted it to 0% installments plan.

We need to be so specific when we are buying something on a CREDIT CARD OFFER. We SHOULD mention it before buying. Some abans showroom people didn't know about the card offer when I was mentioning. So better double check with the seller before buing sometiong on a Card offer.
