Intel was caught napping way too long with their 14nm process and SkyLake architechtures. That was the main issue and AMD caught up with more value for money designs.
With the 11th Gen, now they are still on 10nm. This is their third iteration of a 10nm chip. But they have performed well to squeeze features in.
Tiger Lake uses Intel’s 10nm ‘SuperFin’ technology. Intel has replaced their 10+ terminology with 10SF. This is an improvement on their FinFET process technology that made some performance improvements possible.
Also Thunderbolt 4 and USB 4 support will be available.
