Children in Sri Lanka has been misled from many ways. Among those education take the first place. For an example if someone questioned from a little child who you want to be in future ?most of them reply may be “ A Doctor “ or “ A Engineer” but I am pretty sure they do not even have an idea about those careers. What has happened is that these little children’s parents has engraved to little one’s minds if you want to be happy in rest of your life these are the occupations you have to choose. But the most pathetic situation I see is that the ones who had dreams about becoming doctors or engineers rarely achieve their goal .In here what could be the problem ? Haven’t they worked hard enough to achieve their targets or are they doomed to fail achieving their targets? None of those are the reasons. The reason is they have stepped in the wrong path by believing illusions .In this world every new born baby comes with a some sort of a talent or potential in him. But the most tragic story is that only few of them are able to find out their potentials. All others are just left in the dark .people talking about hell and a heaven .But I heave little bit of believe in those because I have never experienced those on my own .I think the one who has found out real potential in them are living in a haven and others just left in the hell.Nowadays this has become a burning issue in Sri Lanka. As a one who is in twenties I have witnessed lots of youths who are facing to this problem
They have been in the chasing of some bigger targets but whenever they flip on their journey they think they are just stuck in their life. For this most suitable example is Advanced Level examination, this is a lots of Sri Lankan students dreams of destination. But whenever they just unable to go through with that as they supposed they think they just lost their life .After that many of them get caught in phobia of chasing down dreams. After that they just need to spend their life. Actually they becoming butterflies with broken wings. This state is dangerous hence they do not have dreams or much hopes about their life. In Sri Lanka seventeen to twenties are the ages most youngsters start to get vulnerable and become the targets of illness like depression. To prevent becoming targets of these tragic stories I have recognized two procedures we can follow.
    1. We should find out students potentials or what they are passionate about in school time and encourage them to step up in those paths which are they belong
    2. And for the ones who are already fed up of chasing down dreams which are not suits for them, we should encourage them to find their own potential and have new dreams in their life.

What are you doing now? When I was young, I badly wanted to become a Bus Driver. Still having some fantasies of being a driver and drive all the day. I even downloaded a game about container driver simulator and played it. :)
