Country in darkness following technical fault at Kelanitissa

A technical fault at the Kelanitissa power plant resulted in an island wide power failure in Sri Lanka and subsequent water cut in some areas since early this morning. The Ceylon Electricity Board said measures are underway to restore the electricity as soon as possible.

The way protests and strikes going on
at the wake of SPC election
it could be part of the same plan.
